Removing orange shipping brackets from all racks

Procedure

At each rack being installed, remove the front and rear door shipping support brackets, if present.

Note: When used, the brackets are at the right front and right rear of the frame. The front bracket is near the bottom of the frame or near the door latch. The rear bracket is near the door latch.
At each rack being installed, remove any storage enclosure shipping brackets and store them on unused storage enclosure rails (if available).
1. At the rear of the rack, loosen the fastener 1 that attaches the orange shipping bracket to the left and right horizontal rails. See Figure 1.
  
  Note: It might be necessary to disconnect storage enclosure power cables to remove the bracket. Ensure that the cables are reconnected to the correct power supplies.
2. Slide the bracket away from the storage enclosure so the middle support cross pin 2 disengages from the slot. See Figure 1.
3. Tighten the fasteners.
4. Store the brackets on unused storage enclosure rails, if available. See Figure 2.
5. Go to step 3.
