MAP31D0 Device adapter and POST state save data collection

A showstop condition was detected and requires collection of state save data to assist next level of support in analyzing the error.

About this task

FER = 2Ah SS_LRC_FAILURE The adapter caused an LRC error.
FER = 2Bh SS_SHOWSTOP_INTERRUPT The host software requested a show stop.

Procedure

Offload needed device adapter state save data:

From the Service interface:

  1. From the navigation area, click Storage Facility Management > storage facility > SF image.
  2. From the bottom Task area, click Data Collection Tasks > Process Device Adapter and POST State Saves.
  3. Select the appropriate Device Adapter state saves. If sent here by a serviceable event with SRC BE33CE20, then select the Device Adapter state saves whose time stamps most closely match that of the serviceable event.
  4. Click Off Load to begin the collection of the selected data.
  5. Contact next level of support with the location of this state save data.
  6. If the serviceable event that sent you here is still in the open state, close it now and exit this MAP.
From the DS8000 storage management GUI:
  1. From the top navigation area, click the Service drop-down menu.
  2. From the drop-down menu, click Data Collection > Process Device Adapter and POST State Saves.
  3. Select the appropriate Device Adapter state saves. If sent here by a serviceable event with SRC BE33CE20, then select the Device Adapter state saves whose time stamps most closely match that of the serviceable event.
  4. Click Off Load to begin the collection of the selected data.
  5. Contact next level of support with the location of this state save data.
  6. If the serviceable event that sent you here is still in the open state, close it now and exit this MAP.
