MAP4150 Service processor password problem during code update

The code update process pre-verify check ensures the service processor access and login passwords are as expected. If one or more passwords are not set as expected you are sent to this procedure to set them using the ASM interface.

MAP4150 Section-1

Procedure

  1. Launch the ASM interface.
    1. From the navigation area, click Storage Facility Management > storage facility > Server View > server.
    2. From the bottom Task area, click Operations > Launch Advanced System Management (ASM).
    3. The Launch ASM Interface window opens. Click OK. A browser window opens and points to the Managed System's ASM login screen.
  2. Log into ASM using User ID dev, password FipSdev (case sensitive).
  3. In the ASM navigation area, expand Login Profile, then select Change Password.
  4. There are three Login IDs that need their passwords set.
    • Use Table 1 to type in the needed information in the content area of the change password display.
    • Ensure "Operation completed successfully" status is displayed in the content area for each password change.

  5. Click Log out to exit ASM.
