MAP6120 Attaching the management console to the customer network
This MAP provides guidance on how to attach the management console customer network. The HMC will normally be connected to the customer network during installation. This MAP is intended for use when the customer decides to do that at a later time. This procedure can be performed concurrent with host access to the attached storage facilities.

- No, continue with the next step.
-
Test the communication from the customer network to the management console. Ask the customer to attempt to connect to
the DS Storage Manager server in the HMC. If the customer is unable to access the management console, then verify that the settings in steps
3 and 7 are
correct.
If problem still exists, go to MAP6730 Customer access to management console problem.
