MAP7005 Determining which private network address range is selected
Use this MAP to determine which of the four private network address ranges the customer selected to be used on this storage plex. A default address range and three optional address ranges are available to avoid address range conflicts with the customer network.
MAP7005 Section-1
Procedure
- Invoke the Network Topology Tool to display
the TCP/IP address of Interface eth0.
- From the navigation area, click HMC Management.
- In the right work area, go to the Operations section and click View Network Topology.
- Wait several minutes for the tool to gather and present
the results.
A window appears with the current network topology (port connections) listed at the top and the saved network topology listed at the bottom. See Figure 1.
- In the area labeled Current Topology, click an Interface eth0 LPAR. The details of that node are displayed in the right pane. Note the IP address.
- Determine the address range for the LPAR IP address that
you recorded in step 1. For LIC bundles at or below 64.xx.xx.xx (Release
4), use Table 1.For LIC bundles at or above 65.xx.xx.xx (Release
5), use Table 2.
