FSPSP10

The part indicated in the FRU callout that follows this procedure is invalid or missing for this system's configuration.

About this task

Before you begin:
  • If you reached this procedure after replacing a processor module, a likely cause is processor module mismatch. In this case, the processor module called after this procedure will be at location Un-P1-C10, regardless of which processor was actually replaced. Confirm that a processor module with the correct part number and CCIN was used as a replacement.
  • If you reached this procedure after replacing a VPD card, a possible cause is an incorrect VPD card FRU. In this case, the VPD card will not be included in the FRU list. Confirm that a VPD card with the correct part number and CCIN was used as a replacement.

Procedure

  1. Does word 8 of the reference code end with 02 or 04? Table 1 shows the reference code format.
    Table 1. Reference code format
    Word number
    1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
    TTTTUUUU xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx
    Key:
    TTTT = Reference code type
    UUUU = Unit reference code
    • Yes, continue with the next step.
    • No, go to step 3.
  2. The FRU that is called out after this procedure is either missing or invalid. Is that FRU installed and connected or plugged in properly?
    • Yes, remove that FRU. Then contact your next level of support to determine the correct FRU. This ends the procedure.
    • No, contact your next level of support to determine the correct FRU. This ends the procedure.
  3. Does word 8 end with 01 or 05?
    • Yes, the FRU that is called out after this procedure has the same serial number as another FRU in the system. Remove all but one of the FRUs that are called out after this procedure, and then perform a slow boot. See MAP4820 Performing a slow boot of a CEC enclosure. This ends the procedure.
    • No, return to Start here. This ends the procedure.
